BOTTOM LINE

The ZMI WPB01 is a wireless portable charger, perfect for charging two devices at the same time -such as your wireless earbuds and your smartphone. While other wireless power banks we’ve tested in the past have been very disappointing, this pack has a lot of great features under its belt. The ZMI offers 22.5 watts of max output and 10 watts of wireless output in a relatively slim form factor at a very budget-friendly price. This is why even with its lower efficiencies at the higher watt outputs, we still highly recommend this pack.

The ZMI WPB01 is a very compelling power bank with its great outputs packed in a slim form factor. It’s a wireless portable charger as well which makes it perfect for charging two devices at the same time. This is why even with its inferior true capacity in the higher levels of output, we still recommend this pack as a great daily carry option.

    ZMI 10,000mAh WPB01 First Impression

The ZMI WPB01 is a very compelling power bank with great outputs in a compact form factor. It’s a 17mm pack which is incredibly slim - the slimmest wireless power bank we’ve looked at. It also just weighs 220g which is considered very light. With its pocketable shape, it definitely hits the portable in portable charger. ZMI WPB01 weight measurement Now while all that sounds great on paper, we’re wondering if it’s going to be able to deliver performance as good as it looks; or will this be just another disappointing wireless pack? Let’s find out.

ZMI 10,000mAh WPB01 Capacity and Performance (Tested)

To get a good gauge on its performance, we’re going to be testing the ZMI 10,000mAh WPB01’s efficiencies on different levels of output. This is to check how much of its internal capacity can actually be utilized at different outputs. For reference, the ZMI WPB01 is a 37 watt hour capacity pack. ZMI WPB01 testing with equipment At 5 watts of output, it gave us 34.1 watt hours or 92% efficiency when compared to the 37 watt hours stated by the manufacturer. That is  a great level of efficiency at these low ranges.
Next at 9 watt hours, we get around 83% of efficiency at 30 watt hours. This is also considered a very good rate at 9 watts of output.
Now at the sweet spot of 18 watts of output, things fall off quite a bit. We only get 72% of efficiency or 27 watt hours. While that’s not a dealbreaker by any means, it is a sharp decline in capacity. Additionally, there are many 10,000mAh packs out there that would be able to give you better results even at the 18 watt output level. Since most phones aren’t going to charge for that long at 18 watts of output though, it’s not the worst thing in the world but it is something to note that there is better performance elsewhere.
Finally, we go now to the maximum 22.5 watts of output and get a disappointing 54% of efficiency at 20 watt hours. It’s pretty hopeless at the 22.5 watt level. There might not be many people using that but again, it is something to note.

Should you buy the ZMI 10,000mAh WPB01?

ZMI WPB01 product shot with gadgets Overall, it’s still a yes from us and we’re still going to recommend this power bank. For a pack filled with features such as wireless charging, a slim form factor, and high wattage outputs, this is a pretty compelling pack. You will get more efficiency and thus capacity out of this than something like the Anker Powercore Slim or the Zendre Supermini - two of the most popular portable chargers on the market in the 10,000mAh category. For a budget pack that has wireless charging capabilities and a great slim form factor, we think that this is a good purchase - maybe not for those who want the higher 22.5 watt output though. But if you’re an average user looking for a wireless power bank with a great form factor, decent price, and fair efficiencies in the lower watt hours, this is definitely a very good option from ZMI and is one of the better wireless power banks in our book. asdf
